Your Big Game Guides
It is important to us that clients feel comfortable, safe, and confident with their guide and experience level. All of our guides work solely for LRO. When a guide wants to come on board with us; their experience is vetted, then they go on guided hunts with a senior guide prior to being set up with clients on their own. All are trained in field emergency care, and follow a written code of conduct for LRO. We expect the highest quality of service from our guides without exception.

Clyde is our primary big game guide. He was born and raised near Truth or Consequences New Mexico. Born into guiding, his father has been a New Mexico guide for over 30 years, allowing him to start hunting at an early age. He has successfully harvested multiple trophy Elk, Mule deer, Coues whitetail, and Antelope. He is also excellent on turkey and predator calling. While working as a firefighter in New Mexico, he guided part time for elk and deer before moving to AZ in 2007. In Arizona he focused on Archery and muzzle-loader for more of a challenge. Helping friends and relatives successfully harvest trophy big game across Arizona and New Mexico. We recruited Clyde due to his known skill level and knowledge of the big game here. He came on board with LRO for the 2019 season
Ernie is a lifelong resident of Southern Arizona. He grew up as a cowboy for various local ranches. He then had a career in law enforcement and retired in 2015. An avid small and big game hunter his entire life, he is dedicated to hunting in all its forms. He is the primary scout for LRO and began guiding for us in the 2017-18 season. Ernie is an experienced big game hunter and hones his skills on Coues, mule deer, javalina, and predator calling regularly.
I am the Owner and primary upland guide for LRO. I grew up hunting and fishing in northwest Georgia. I moved to AZ in 1998 and never plan to leave. Upland hunting is an absolute obsession for me. Big game hunting puts meat in the freezer, chasing birds and training dogs is what I love. I am a certified Paramedic, worked in the fields of emergency medicine, search and rescue, and law enforcement for over 28 years. Now I enjoy sharing my passion for Hunting with others through guiding. As far as big game, I guide clients for javelina, antelope in New Mexico, and assist on coues hunts. I have javelina down to a science. My tracking skills, working the wind, and calling is honed for this hunt. Our primary big game guides Clyde and Ernie are the big game masters.
